Breakfast with Santa at The Chequers Inn in Rookley puts the Christmas visit into a morning around the table. There is a carvery breakfast for the family, Santa to meet and a gift for children. It is a way to make a proper occasion of breakfast in December, with something to eat already part of the plan rather than another stop to organise afterwards.
For younger children, a morning visit can be easier to fit around the rest of the day than an evening event. The meal also gives accompanying adults a reason to sit down together while the excitement centres on Santa. Keep expectations tied to what the pub has announced: breakfast, the visit and a child’s gift are included in the advertised offer. If your child needs a little more time or you have questions about how the meeting works, ask when reserving your places.
The event takes place on Saturday 12 December between 9am and noon. With this children’s Christmas outing, the adults get breakfast too: their tickets cost £14, while children cost £9.75. Booking is essential on 01983 840314, so check the available arrival arrangements rather than assuming the whole morning works as a drop-in. Mention dietary needs when calling and confirm what is included for each member of your party. That leaves the important business of deciding what to tell Santa.
