Newport Craft Market: Christmas Markets

Newport’s Christmas craft markets bring handmade gifts and local makers to the Community Hub, with five Saturday dates and a charity donation.

Newport Craft Market’s Christmas Markets give you five Saturdays to look for handmade presents at the Community Hub. Make a morning of browsing local craft stalls, choosing something for a friend and finding a present that has a person behind it. The markets take place at 64 High Street, so you can fit a visit around the shopping you already need to do in Newport town centre.

The organisers bring together small businesses and makers with handmade gifts and crafts. You can browse for someone else, treat yourself or compare ideas before committing to your Christmas list. All profits go to Daisy Ring Bus. Each market has its own date, so missing one Saturday leaves you another chance to call in. The 21 November market stays open until 5.30pm for Newport’s Day of Christmas, giving you longer to browse alongside the town celebrations.

For most dates, the market runs from 10am until 4pm. Give yourself some time to look around rather than leaving it to the last few minutes before closing. Admission details have not been advertised, so check with Newport Craft Market before setting off if that affects your plans. There are more arts and crafts events around the Isle of Wight if you fancy making something as well as buying from local makers.
