G4 bring their Phantoms of the Popera tour to Shanklin Theatre on a Tuesday in mid-July, turning the old seafront auditorium into a West End night out without the hovercraft fare to the mainland. The original X Factor harmony quartet returns after a sell-out 2025 run with a programme built around musical theatre showstoppers rather than pop chart filler.
Jonathan Ansell, Michael Conway, Mike Christie and Duncan Sandilands move from Les Mis and Phantom through Wicked, Hamilton, Jersey Boys, Greatest Showman, Rent and a long list of Broadway and West End anthems. The range is deliberately wide: heart-rending ballads one moment, roof-lifting ensemble numbers the next. A pre-show meet and greet is available if you want photographs and signatures before the main set.
Tickets start at £35 on the theatre booking system, with a higher-priced VIP meet-and-greet option. Doors at 7:30pm suit an after-work trip from Newport or a Shanklin dinner first. If musical theatre is your family's shared language, this is a stronger bet than another tribute act going through the obvious hits. More arts and crafts and theatre events run across the island in July if you want to pair it with something smaller earlier in the day.
