Dog-friendly pubs on the Isle of Wight

Six Isle of Wight pubs and food venues say dogs are welcome. The Old Fort confirms downstairs access; the other venues do not state which areas allow dogs, so ask before booking a table.

Which pubs say dogs are welcome?

The Old Fort gives the clearest access rule: well-behaved dogs may sit downstairs, but not in the upstairs restaurant and bar. The Fighting Cocks, Pointer Inn, Spyglass Inn, Sun Inn Calbourne and White Horse Inn describe themselves as dog-friendly or say dogs are welcome without naming a room or garden.

Check the seating area before you book

A dog-friendly policy does not guarantee an indoor table or access during a busy service. Ask about the area you need and mention the size or number of dogs in your party. Policies can also change for events.
