Puckpool Park

A coastal park between Ryde and Seaview used for outdoor events, family time and gatherings beside the historic Puckpool Battery.

Puckpool Park is a coastal green space between Ryde and Seaview, with open lawns and a position close to the shoreline. Its spread-out layout works particularly well for outdoor gatherings, informal family time and summer events that need room for audiences to bring their own chairs. The park is also associated with Puckpool Battery, giving the setting a layer of local military history alongside its everyday recreational use.

For visitors, the useful distinction is that this is an outdoor site rather than a conventional enclosed venue. Weather, ground conditions and daylight can shape an event, so check the organiser’s latest instructions before setting out. The park address used for public events is Puckpool Hill, Seaview, PO34 5AR. The location is on the eastern side of the Island, a short distance from Ryde and approachable from the coastal route towards Seaview.

Events here can make good use of the open setting, but parking and arrival arrangements may vary with the scale of the occasion. Allow a little extra time on busy summer evenings and bring whatever seating or layers the organiser recommends. The Nettlestone and Seaview Parish Council page provides a mapped view of the park. For outdoor cinema in particular, remember that screenings may be postponed or cancelled when the weather makes projection or audience safety impractical.
