Simeon Arms
A traditional community pub on Simeon Street in Ryde, with a function room and regular live entertainment.
More in things to do near Ryde and our Isle of Wight things to do guide.
The Simeon Arms is a traditional Ryde pub with a strong local following. From the street it looks compact, but the premises extend to a larger function room and a beer garden, allowing the pub to host bands, parties and league games as well as everyday bar trade. Live-music nights keep the informal character of a neighbourhood local: the stage is close, the bar remains part of the room and audiences are usually standing or using unreserved seating unless the organiser says otherwise.
The pub is at 21 Simeon Street, Ryde, PO33 1JG, east of the town centre and a short distance inland from the seafront. Ryde St John’s Road station is the nearest rail stop, with bus routes and the Esplanade connections further west. Street parking is limited, so drivers should allow time to find a legal space. Event access may be through the main pub or directly into the function area; contact the venue if you need confirmation of steps, toilets or seating.
Music listings at the Simeon Arms are commonly free, but each date should be checked on its own terms. Arriving before the band begins makes it easier to order at the bar and find a suitable position without interrupting the performance. Under-18 access, dog rules and last entry can depend on the event and time of day. The pub’s Facebook presence is the most useful place for short-notice changes, while the telephone number published in local directories is 01983 614954.
