More in things to do near Cowes and our Isle of Wight things to do guide.
UKSA is a maritime education and watersports centre on the western bank of the River Medina in Cowes. Its 4.5-acre campus supports professional training, school visits and recreational activity, with facilities including classrooms, accommodation, a swimming pool, gym and sports hall. Community coaches sometimes use the indoor spaces for sports sessions unrelated to seamanship. These bookings operate within a busy working campus, so visitors should follow the event instructions and report to the stated entrance rather than wandering through the site.
The campus address is Arctic Road, Cowes, PO31 7PQ. It is around a fifteen-minute walk from the Red Jet terminal, with local bus connections and public parking elsewhere in Cowes. The site slopes towards the waterfront and includes several buildings. Anyone needing step-free directions to the sports hall, accessible changing facilities or a drop-off point should contact the session organiser or UKSA before travelling.
For an indoor tennis class, bring the footwear and racquet specified in the booking information and arrive early enough for registration. The sports hall is sheltered from poor weather, but participants may still need to walk outside between reception and the activity space. Parents should check whether they remain on site, where they may wait and what supervision is included. UKSA’s main number is 01983 294941; coaching fees, age groups and cancellations are controlled by the activity provider.
