Day two of Beer & Steam keeps the bars open at Isle of Wight Steam Railway, with real ales and cider around Havenstreet station. JC & Angelina play Sunday's live-music slot. You don't need a train ticket for the bars or the music. The festival sits on the railway site, but a steam ride is optional and charged separately.
It runs from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 11 October, and JC & Angelina are advertised from 1pm to 4pm. Entry to the site and festival is free. Drinks, food if there is any, and train tickets cost extra. If you want a ride, check the railway's current timetable for trains that fit around the set, because six hours of festival doesn't mean trains leaving all the time. Havenstreet has indoor and outdoor areas. Dress for October anyway.
As a food and drink outing, Sunday is the easy way in. You get the festival without committing to a full railway visit, and that's the best reason to go. Bring proof of age if you might be asked, and work out how you're getting home before the first pint. The official event page has the latest music and operating details. Check it on the morning you go, in case train running or site arrangements change.
