This self-guided, 1.5-mile trail starts at the Royal Yacht Squadron and finishes at the Beckford Centre. The route links yacht clubs, regattas, museums and maritime collections, and the organiser estimates about 90 minutes if you follow the full trail. A weekday visit changes the rhythm of the waterfront, with the working harbour around you as the historic stops explain Cowes’s wider sailing reputation. The full trail still takes about 90 minutes. Cowes spreads its event spaces across the harbour, High Street and waterfront rather than one formal complex. Maritime history remains visible in the working town around each route or performance.
