East Cowes Maritime Ropey Walk starts at East Cowes Esplanade on Monday 5 October. It begins at 13:30 and is scheduled to finish at 16:30.
The afternoon route starts by the shelter near the East Cowes Floating Bridge. Its three-hour window gives the guide room to explore local maritime connections on the opposite side of the Medina from the morning Cowes walk. Moving to East Cowes changes the harbour perspective after the morning walk. The Floating Bridge places transport and the working Medina in view before the guide follows local maritime connections. East Cowes Esplanade faces the Solent and sits close to the Floating Bridge end of the Medina. Ferries, harbour traffic and the opposite Cowes waterfront stay in view from the public space.
Free places must be reserved. Meet by the shelter near the East Cowes Floating Bridge at 13:30 and allow until 16:30 for the complete walk. The organiser has not published a distance or terrain grade, so confirm either point if it affects your choice. The Island’s walking events include a separate Cowes-side route that morning; this afternoon session stands on its own and does not require attendance at both. The fixed bridge-side start should remove any confusion over which side of the Medina to use.
