Model Train Display

A model train display takes over The Traveller’s Joy in Northwood on Monday 26 October, open to the public from noon to 4pm.

The Model Train Display at The Traveller’s Joy gives Monday 26 October a model-railway afternoon in Northwood. The pub is hosting it, and public viewing runs from noon to 4pm. If you enjoy small-scale railway detail, head for Pallance Road and put the afternoon in the diary. It is a general model display, and no separate children’s programme is listed.

Exhibitors start setting up from 11am, so noon is the time to aim for as a visitor, and the exhibitors will already be in place. Four hours is a decent window, so there is no need to arrive on the dot. No layouts, scales or exhibitors have been named, so if there is something particular you hope to see, ask the pub. It makes a local afternoon out without a full day across the island, and a good one for anyone who likes to look at model railways up close.

The pub is at 85 Pallance Road, Northwood, PO31 8LS, and viewing ends at 4pm. No admission price has been given, so check with the pub before you assume entry is free or decide how much cash to bring. Food and drink are the pub’s own and worth asking about separately.
