NSRA Hot Rod Fun Run at Isle of Wight Steam Railway

The NSRA Hot Rod Fun Run brings custom hot rods, classic street cars and cruisers to Havenstreet on Tuesday 26 May.

Presented by Isle of Wight Steam Railway

The NSRA Hot Rod Fun Run rolls into Havenstreet station with custom hot rods, classic street cars and cruisers parked up against the steam railway backdrop. It is a strong Tuesday plan for anyone who likes machinery with character: polished paintwork, low-slung shapes, engines that draw a crowd and the contrast of American-style street rods beside Isle of Wight heritage locomotives.

Because the display sits at the railway, the day does not depend on children staring at cars for hours. Families can mix the hot rods with the half-term treasure hunt, arts and crafts, the play park, the cafe and steam trains if they want a longer visit. That makes it easier to bring mixed ages, including one child who wants wheels and another who wants something to do with their hands.

Entry to Havenstreet Station, Whistle Stop Cafe Play Park and activities is free; train rides need normal tickets. Anyone planning a week of railway days, classic vehicles and island history can also check the wider heritage events programme.
