Record Fair at The Star

Browse records and CDs while ten vinyl DJs play at The Star Coffee & Ale House in Ryde, with food and drink throughout the day.

Record Fair at The Star fills The Star Coffee & Ale House in Ryde with LPs, seven-inch singles and CDs, while ten vinyl DJs take turns playing through the day. You can come with a list of records to hunt for or let a sleeve, a song or a conversation send you towards something unexpected. The fair runs from noon until 9pm, leaving room for a short browse or a longer afternoon.

The music comes from records as well as the boxes. With DJs playing throughout, you can listen while you look and enjoy the fair as a social occasion even if you are careful about adding to the collection. Food and drink are available during the day. The organisers also buy record collections, so contact Mick on 07532 256001 in advance if you have records to sell and want to understand how to bring them along.

The Star sits at 40 High Street, on the corner with Star Street. It gives this Ryde music event a town-centre base, useful for meeting someone who may only have an hour to spare. Leave time to browse at your own pace; no particular stock, edition or artist is guaranteed. The announcement does not state an admission fee, so check with the organiser if that affects your plans. Record purchases, food and drinks carry their own costs.
