Presented by The Waterfront

A Sunday afternoon at the western end of the island runs at a different pace. The Waterfront sits on the Totland promenade facing the Solent, and on Sunday Live afternoons it fills up with people who did not have a plan but ended up with a good one. 2 BIT are on the bill, live music from 3pm, food on if you want it, nothing to book.

Sunday Live is a weekly series the venue runs through the season, pairing local and visiting acts with long lunches and the kind of unstructured Sunday time that is harder to find than it sounds. The set runs into early evening, so you can arrive late from a coastal walk, or use it as the anchor point and build the afternoon around it. Children are fine, dogs tend to appear, and the sea is close enough to hear when the music pauses.

Totland Bay is the quieter, less-visited corner of the island, which is part of the appeal. Pair it with a walk along the beach toward Colwell, or a drive back through the downs. If Sunday afternoons with live music on the island are your kind of thing, this is a reliable place to find them.
