The Wurzels at Robin Hill is a late-May Isle of Wight gig for anyone who wants a full-throated singalong rather than a polite seated concert. The Somerset Scrumpy & Western band bring the farmyard humour, country-folk bounce and cider-soaked choruses behind "Combine Harvester", "I Am a Cider Drinker", "Ruby" and "The Blackbird", with the outdoor Newport setting giving the night room to loosen up.
Robin Hill sits at Downend, close enough to Newport for an easy run home but spacious enough for a proper open-air evening. Double Trouble Events organise the night, with Robin Hill providing the venue, and the venue page says profits will be split between the FCN and Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance.
Tickets start from 27.80 plus booking fee, so book before you build the weekend around it. It should suit adults who remember the records, groups who want a cheerful night out, and families with older children who can handle a lively crowd. For more late-spring gigs, browse music events on the Isle of Wight and keep an eye on the Eventbrite ticket link before setting off.
