Totland Christmas Markets bring local crafters to Totland Village Hall for two Saturday mornings of present hunting. Head to The Broadway with a few names from your Christmas list and have a look at what island makers have been working on. These are the organiser’s final two markets of the year, giving west Wight shoppers a November date and another chance in December.
The emphasis is on handmade gifts from a gathering of local crafters. You might arrive with someone in mind or spend a while browsing before deciding what to take home. The organiser encourages visitors to support small makers, with a choice of gifts for loved ones and things to keep for yourself. Both markets run from 10am until 1pm, so this is a morning visit. Leave enough time to look through the stalls before the hall closes for the day.
The hall was known as Totland Church Hall before the parish council bought it and changed its name to Totland Village Hall. Use The Broadway when planning your journey; this market takes place at the hall, separate from the WI market at Totland Bay Bowling Club. Admission arrangements have not been stated, so ask Totland Craft Market if you need to check before travelling. For another creative outing this winter, browse the island’s arts and crafts programme.
