Altitude Church is inviting families to Autumnfest at The Bay Secondary School. The programme lists inflatables, autumn crafting and games, and lunch is free. This day is built around the children. They won't be stuck trailing after adults round a fair. Some will head for the inflatables and some will sit and make things, which helps when siblings want different things.
Autumnfest starts at 10.30am on Sunday 11 October in Sandown. The event notice doesn't give a finishing time, so check before you plan the rest of your day. Entry and lunch are both advertised as free. When you arrive, ask the host about age, height or supervision rules for the inflatables. If anyone has dietary needs, mention them early rather than assuming the lunch will suit. Some of it may be outdoors. It's October, so dress for it.
For a family event, a free lunch matters more than it sounds. It's often the food that makes a cheap outing expensive. The school is the venue, but that doesn't mean every building or playground is open, so follow the signs and stewards to the event area. Check the Facebook announcement for a wet-weather plan or late changes. And if accessibility or food arrangements matter to you, contact Altitude Church before you go.
