Bloom & Create is a morning workshop at Carisbrooke Flower Farm on Gunville Road in Newport, organised jointly by the farm and Mahamaya Reiki & Aromatherapy, a Ryde-based aromatherapy and reiki practice. The two parts of the morning are designed to complement each other: first scent, then flowers, all outdoors on a working flower farm.
The session opens with the aromatherapy element: working with essential oils to create a personal blend and a wellbeing mist. From there, you move out into the flower fields to hand-pick seasonal blooms and build a bespoke bouquet. July sits in the middle of the farm's growing season, so there should be plenty to pick from. Homemade tea and cake are included throughout, and everyone goes home with a wellbeing gift alongside their flowers.
The workshop runs on Sunday 19 July from 10am to 1pm and costs £50, covering both sessions, refreshments and the gift. Worth knowing before you go: the farm is an outdoor working site with a steep drive and uneven ground, so sensible footwear helps. There is on-street parking along Gunville Road and a bus stop directly outside. Booking is essential and done by direct message to the organisers, with no online ticket link.
