The RNLI Christmas Bazaar at Sea View Yacht Club is a chance to tackle your Christmas gift list while supporting the lifeboat charity. The club welcomes members and non-members to its Esplanade home in Seaview, on the Isle of Wight’s north-east coast. Bring a friend or make it a family outing: you can browse home furnishings and art, pick out Christmas decorations, or look for nautical gear for someone who spends their spare time on the water. Artisan chocolates offer another option for a small present.
Stay for festive food and drink, with hot mulled wine and mince pies among the advertised refreshments. Stormy Stan’s Special Raffle adds a chance to win a prize while supporting the RNLI’s lifesaving work. Event sponsor BCM Wilson Hill has donated a ‘Mega’ turkey. The organisers also anticipate prizes from Robert Thompson, Seaview Hotel, The Old Fort and Gatcombe Vineyard, but those contributions await confirmation. BCM Wilson Hill will have a stand where you can ask its team about property sales, lettings and winter lets.
Come along on Saturday 21 November, between 10am and 3pm. Entry is by donation to the RNLI, with no fixed admission price advertised. You don’t need club membership to attend, so invite someone who might otherwise assume the doors are for sailors alone. The mix of shopping and refreshments gives you room for a short browse or a longer catch-up before heading home. If you’re comparing festive fairs for your November diary, browse more arts and crafts events. Ask the club about access requirements or payment arrangements if either affects your visit.
