Freshwater Bay WI brings its Christmas Makers Market to Totland Bay Bowling Club on Saturday 7 November. The stalls sell handcrafted gifts and decorations, and festive treats and hot drinks are available while you browse. It is an early start on Christmas shopping in west Wight, well before December fills up. Hot drinks and festive treats are on hand if you want to stay a while.
The market runs from 10am to 2pm, so a morning visit or a lunchtime one both work. Four hours is long enough to look at every stall and stop for a hot drink. If you are buying for someone in particular, bring a rough idea of what you need and leave time to go round each stall. Freshwater Bay WI is the organiser, but the market is at Totland Bay, so head for the bowling club in Totland Bay, which is where the stalls are.
The club is off The Broadway in Totland Bay, PO39 0AT. No admission charge is mentioned, so treat entry, refreshments and anything you buy as separate costs. Contact the organiser to confirm access, or whether a particular type of stall is coming. It is a makers market with refreshments and no separate children’s programme. More handmade shopping dates are in the arts and crafts events if you are working through a long Christmas list.
