Cult Figure - Kenneth Williams

Cult Figure celebrates Kenneth Williams' centenary at Northwood House, with Colin Elmer reprising the comedy icon in Cowes Fringe's Sunday theatre programme.

Presented by Cowes Fringe

Cult Figure brings Kenneth Williams back into the room at Northwood House for Cowes Fringe's Sunday evening theatre programme. Colin Elmer, who played Williams in touring productions of Round the Horne and Hancock's Half Hour, uses the comedian's own words, writings, anecdotes and familiar material to mark the centenary year. It is one for theatre and comedy fans who still know exactly what a well-timed "stop messing about" can do to a room.

The official listing frames the show around Williams' range, from radio work in Hancock's Half Hour and Round the Horne to more than twenty years in the Carry On films and chat-show appearances. Northwood House gives the evening a proper Cowes setting, with enough character around the venue to make it feel more special than another touring stop. Check the Cowes Fringe Kenneth Williams page for booking and any final running-time notes.
