Daisy Ring Bus First Anniversary Celebration

Past event

This page shows the historical details for Sunday 23 August 2026. If this event returns in 2027, the new details are not published yet.

A free afternoon at Northwood House celebrating Daisy Ring Bus with live music, family activities, stalls, food and community performances.

Presented by Daisy Ring Bus

Daisy Ring Bus marks its first anniversary with a free community celebration in the grounds of Northwood House in Cowes. The afternoon brings together live music, performance, craft stalls, food and hands-on entertainment, with no ticket required. It is designed as a thank-you to the people who have supported the accessible transport service during its first year.

The programme includes Fat Samba, Wight Diamonds, the Isle of Wight Pipes and Drums and Vectis Brass Band. Magician Greg Chapman adds another live element, while a Doctor Who TARDIS and Dalek, a fire-appliance crew and a wood-turning demonstration give families plenty to explore between performances. Face painting and dedicated family activities make this a genuine children-friendly event rather than simply an adult gathering where younger visitors are allowed.

Craft stalls, a bar, hot food and ice cream will be available through the afternoon. The event runs from noon until 4pm on Sunday, so it is easy to combine with a walk through Cowes or time in Northwood Park. Admission is free and advance booking is not needed. Read the organiser’s anniversary celebration announcement for any late changes, or find more Isle of Wight family events for the rest of the summer. As several activities take place outdoors, it is worth checking the weather and bringing the usual layers for a Cowes afternoon.
