Everlasting Christmas Wreath Workshops at Island CraftWorks in Ryde give you a decoration you can unpack again next Christmas. Choose a traditional festive wreath or an Isle of Wight-inspired design, then spend a morning making it by hand with guidance along the way. It is a chance to put a craft date in the diary before December fills up, whether you come with a friend or bring an older child.
You can work with artificial greenery and seasonal embellishments, or use seashells and pine cones for a wreath with a coastal feel. The materials are included, so you can concentrate on choosing, arranging and making with the supplies ready at the studio. No previous crafting experience is needed. The guided format gives beginners a way in, while people who already enjoy making can choose their own approach to the design. Refreshments are part of the session too.
The workshops welcome adults and children aged eight and over, with a two-hour Saturday morning session at the studio on Ryde High Street. At £30 per person, the ticket covers the materials and refreshments as well as the guidance. Book in advance because places are limited, especially if you want to sit down to some Christmas crafting together. You leave with a wreath for your home and a memory of making it, with guidance and a defined morning to get the work done.
