Fresh Christmas Wreath Workshops

Create a fresh Christmas wreath at Island CraftWorks in Ryde, with greenery, festive decorations, guided making and refreshments included in the Saturday workshop.

Fresh Christmas Wreath Workshops at Island CraftWorks give you a Saturday morning to make the decoration that welcomes people to your door. The Ryde studio supplies fresh greenery and festive embellishments, with guidance from the first choices to the finished wreath. Bring a friend, share the task of choosing colours with an older child or keep the two hours for a craft you have wanted to try yourself.

The December workshops use foraged foliage and berries alongside the studio’s collection of decorations. Cinnamon sticks and dried orange slices feature in the materials, with ribbons and seasonal accessories available to shape the design. You do not need previous wreath-making experience: the guided approach gives beginners a route through the work, while more experienced makers can try another style. Tea, coffee and mince pies form part of the studio’s Christmas workshop offer, so there is a pause for refreshments as well as making.

Each session lasts two hours and costs £30 per person, including materials and refreshments. The advertised sessions welcome adults and children aged eight and over; check arrangements with the studio before bringing younger children. Book ahead to secure the date you want, especially if you are coming together. This is Christmas crafting with a useful result, a wreath you can take home and hang up as a reminder of a morning spent making instead of rushing through another seasonal errand.
