Island CraftWorks

Island CraftWorks CIC runs guided craft workshops at its Ryde High Street studio, from macramé and paper flowers to seashell crafts and seasonal wreaths.

Island CraftWorks CIC is a creative studio at 130 High Street in Ryde, where Gabby guides you through making something with your own hands. Workshops cover macramé, paper flowers and seashell crafts, alongside dreamcatchers, vision boards and seasonal wreaths. The sessions welcome beginners, so you can choose a craft because it appeals to you without needing to arrive with skills or a finished design already in mind.

The studio operates as a community interest company, with shared making at the centre of its work. Gabby explains the process step by step, leaving room for you to work at your own pace. A wreath workshop might involve traditional festive greenery or a coastal design with shells and pine cones; another session could focus on knotting a plant hanger or shaping paper flowers. The programme changes, so choose a named workshop that matches what you want to make.

Book a scheduled session or enquire about arranging a workshop with friends. Check the age guidance, materials and refreshments for that particular booking, especially if you plan to bring a child. The Christmas wreath programme includes sessions for adults and children aged eight and over, but that does not establish the same age range for every craft. Look through the current arts and crafts activities, then confirm your place before travelling to the High Street studio.
