The Get On Stage Summer Fayre turns Newport Church of England Primary School into a proper community afternoon. Live entertainment, a BBQ, hot and cold drinks, local craft stalls, a bouncy castle and raffles give the day a classic school-fair shape without feeling like a ticketed festival.
Newport town-centre schools work well for this kind of event because you can combine it with a Saturday shop, a café stop or a run to Carisbrooke if the children still have energy afterwards. The organiser has been building anticipation around the full entertainment schedule, so expect the programme to firm up closer to the day. Bring cash for stalls and raffles, and shoes that can cope with grass and bouncy-castle queues.
Admission is not stated in the listing, so treat prices as check-before-travel. For families hunting structured children's activities rather than a general day out, this belongs with family events on the Isle of Wight: bouncy castle, games, food and live acts in one bounded school site. Hazel Close is easy to reach from Newport's main roads, with parking pressure likely as the 11am start approaches.
