Isle of Wight ShedFest opens its 2026 weekend at Wight Aviation Museum on Saturday 13 June, with free entry from 10am to 4pm and on-site parking. The Saturday line-up leans into the social side of the sheds movement: craft stalls, classic vehicles, family activities and the kind of easy-going community day that suits a first visit if you have never set foot inside a mens shed.
Expect mens sheds and other makers showing what they build when they get a bench, a kettle and a bit of room. Rotary refreshments keep the tea flowing, Ability Dogs 4 Young People and Royal British Legion are among the groups on the poster, and live music runs through the afternoon. Real ale and music continue until 7pm on the Saturday, so you can treat it as a short browse or stay into the evening if the weather plays fair.
Sandown Airport gives the event a practical east Wight base, close enough to the seafront for a walk afterwards if you still have energy. Entry is free, which makes it a low-risk plan when you want something local without committing to tickets. For more community gatherings like this, see community events on the Isle of Wight, or pair the day with other heritage and history events if aviation and island craft both appeal.
