OWLOWEEN brings SBW Raptors to Calbourne Water Mill on Saturday 31 October for a Halloween evening of owls and a spooky trail. It runs from 6pm to 8.30pm at the Newport Road venue in Calbourne on the Isle of Wight. Children can come in costume for trick or treating, then follow the Haunted Hollow Trail. The organisers also present ‘The Protectors of the Hollow’ owl show, with the birds at the heart of the programme.
After the scares, a mini disco gives children a chance to dance. Costumes are encouraged, and the programme names glowing pumpkins alongside the trail and owl show. The announcement promises an owl show, with no mention of handling or individual bird encounters.
