Santa's Owls

Visit Santa’s Owls at Calbourne Water Mill on 19 December for a pre-Christmas evening of lights, an owl show, grotto and children’s dancing.

Santa’s Owls returns to Calbourne Water Mill on Saturday 19 December for an evening close to Christmas, running from 5pm to 8.30pm. The Calbourne programme has an owl show and a mini disco, alongside a Christmas light trail and Santa’s grotto. If your children want birds as well as Christmas lights, this west Wight date offers both in one evening. The craft village adds somewhere to browse between activities.

The organisers also run an earlier December evening, so make sure you choose the 19 December date when you book tickets. No individual activity times are published, so ask when the owl show takes place and how the grotto visit works. Find out what the grotto includes before you promise your child a gift. The evening gives you three and a half hours, with the light trail and mini disco alongside the birds. Leave time for the craft village too, if you’d like to see it.

Parking at the Newport Road venue is free for this event. Fee-inclusive tickets cost £8.83 for the advertised adult 14+ tier and £6.66 for the child 3–14 tier. Both descriptions include age 14, so ask the organiser which ticket is right for a 14-year-old. Younger children are worth asking about too, since no under-three arrangement is confirmed. Dress for the outdoors at this Isle of Wight family Christmas outing, and make sure your booking names 19 December.
