Santa's Owls

Santa’s Owls brings a Christmas light trail, grotto, owl show and mini disco to Calbourne Water Mill on the evening of 5 December.

Santa’s Owls starts its early-December evening at Calbourne Water Mill on Saturday 5 December, from 5pm to 8.30pm. The Christmas programme combines a light trail with Santa’s grotto and an owl show at the Newport Road venue in Calbourne. There’s also the craft village to visit, and a mini disco for the children. It makes an early-December Isle of Wight outing with plenty to talk through before you choose tickets.

The light trail and owl show belong to the same evening, so allow more time than a quick grotto stop. No individual activity times have been published, so ask about the owl-show schedule and any grotto booking arrangements before deciding when to arrive. It’s worth asking what the grotto visit includes, because the published details promise no gift. The mini disco gives children something to dance to alongside the trail and the birds.

Adult tickets total £8.83 including a £1.33 fee, while the advertised child ticket totals £6.66 including a £1.16 fee. The ticket descriptions overlap at age 14: adults are 14+ and children are 3–14. Ask the organiser which tier suits a 14-year-old, and what applies to children below three. Parking is free. Book 5 December for this Christmas family evening, and plan for time outdoors at the mill before heading home.
