Pictures in the Park: Quadrophenia

The 1979 British drama Quadrophenia closes Pictures in the Park, with free outdoor cinema and special scooter parking at Puckpool Park.

Presented by Pictures in the Park

Quadrophenia closes the Pictures in the Park programme with a fittingly coastal outdoor screening at Puckpool Park. The 1979 British drama, shaped by mod culture, music and youthful conflict, begins at 8.30pm on Sunday. Special scooter parking is planned for the night, adding an appropriate visual note before the film reaches the screen. Admission is free, although advance ticket registration is required.

Bring your own chair, blanket or cushions and allow time to settle before darkness. The event does not permit visitors to bring food or drink into the viewing area. Its food court is expected to serve pizzas, burgers, popcorn, sweets, snacks and ice cream, with both soft and alcoholic drinks available. Eventbrite limits each booking to six tickets. Anyone arriving with a scooter should still check the latest access instructions before travelling.

As this is open-air cinema, the screening is vulnerable to poor weather and may be cancelled at short notice. Check the organiser’s updates on the day and take a warm layer for the end of the evening. The published programme gives the start but no exact finish; the 10.30pm time displayed here is therefore an estimate. Book free Quadrophenia tickets through Eventbrite.
