The Sewing Bee Competition Workshop brings Karen Robb and The Sewing Collective to Northwood House for a three-hour Cowes Fringe session. It is a practical arts and crafts event, better suited to people who want to make, learn and test their stitching under pressure than to anyone after a sit-back performance.
The official page asks participants to bring their own sewing machine and notes that doors open before the 1pm start. Karen's background spans costume and fashion, including ballet, opera, West End theatre and feature films, before she built The Sewing Collective on the Island. That gives the workshop a real skills angle: finishing, fit, technique and confidence, rather than a loose craft afternoon. Check the Karen Robb workshop page for the final materials list and ticket details.
