The Appalled EP Launch

Isle of Wight punk band The Appalled launch their latest EP at Strings Bar & Venue with support from Capo Regime and And They Lived.

Presented by Strings Bar & Venue

Isle of Wight punk band The Appalled launch their new EP at Strings Bar and Venue in Newport on 4 June, and the pay-what-you-want door policy means the barrier to showing up is as low as punk can reasonably make it. Support comes from Capo Regime and And They Lived, both local acts, giving the night a depth that a single-band launch does not always achieve.

Local band EP launches at Strings Bar are the kind of event that the island's music scene runs on: an occasion for the community around the band to show up, new material to be heard in context, and the energy that live punk generates in a room where the stage and the bar are within shouting distance of each other. The Appalled write the kind of punk that owes something to the 1977 originals without sounding like a history lesson, and the new EP will reflect where the band has gone since the last release.
