Tom Ford Trio runs at Quay Arts on Saturday 19 September. 13:00 marks the start, with the event due to finish at 14:45 after 1 hours 45 minutes.
The Tom Ford Trio bring a live jazz programme to Quay Arts for a Saturday afternoon performance. The trio format keeps the musical exchange close and responsive, with each player leaving room for the others. A 13:00 start gives the jazz a different energy from a late club set. It can become the centre of a Newport afternoon and still leave the evening free. Newport harbour gives Quay Arts a distinct edge-of-town-centre setting. Inside, galleries and performance spaces support events that range from close listening to work you can revisit at your own pace.
Tickets start at £12 and advance booking is required. The indoor performance runs from 13:00 to 14:45, despite older copy describing it as an evening show. Quay Arts gives the trio a focused room where improvisation and small changes should carry. Browse the Island’s live music calendar for later concerts. This one suits jazz listeners, curious newcomers and anyone who wants a proper performance in the middle of Saturday, with enough time afterwards for the harbour or town.
