West End Summer Academy 2026

Theatretrain Isle of Wight runs five days of West End musical theatre training at Lift Ryde for ages 6 to 18, with a Friday showcase.

Presented by Theatretrain Isle of Wight

The West End Summer Academy packs ten musicals into five days at Lift Ryde, home to the Nigel Walsh Theatre. Children aged 6 to 10 work on *Paddington*, *101 Dalmatians*, *Finding Neverland*, *Six* and *Oliver!*; ages 11 and up tackle *Heathers*, *Two Strangers*, *Back to the Future*, *Legally Blonde* and *Grease*. Sessions run 10am to 3pm daily from 10 to 14 August, with professional training in singing, dance and acting.

You do not need to attend Theatretrain weekly classes to join, which matters if your child wants a concentrated holiday week without a term-time commitment. Full week places are £125, with a daily rate of £30, sibling discounts and childcare vouchers accepted. Parents and guardians are invited to the Friday showcase at the Nigel Walsh Theatre to see what the cast has built across the week.

Places are limited. Book through Theatretrain Isle of Wight. For more family events on the Isle of Wight and arts workshops, Ryde’s Lift site puts this within reach of east Wight families planning the August school holidays.
