Lily's Coffee Shop is a café at 15 High Street in Seaview village, where you can stop for a coffee and something sweet. You might know it as Lily's Café. Now and then it hosts pottery-painting pop-ups, which suit a catch-up with a friend or an afternoon spent painting side by side. Those craft sessions need a reservation with the organiser.
Island Pottery Painting brings its studio to Lily's for the booked sessions. You pick a piece of pottery and paint it while you talk. The organiser advertises the sessions with Lily's homemade treats and a hot or soft drink, so the table gets used for refreshments as well as painting. The session fee and the pottery are charged separately, so count the piece you want when you work out what to spend. If you have a shape in mind for a present or your own shelf, you can choose the pottery in advance through the organiser.
Puckpool Park is the outdoor option nearby, with the historic Puckpool Battery and space for a walk. Go before you meet at the café, or leave the afternoon open until you see the weather. And at Lily's a coffee and a catch-up is plenty if that's all the time you have.
