The Veteran Pub and Hotel

The Veteran Pub and Hotel is at 15 Esplanade in Ryde town, on the seafront. It runs on a not-for-profit basis and reinvests its profits in veteran support. That work has included temporary accommodation for homeless veterans and respite breaks for veterans in need. You can come for a drink or an advertised live-music event, and your visit to the bar supports that wider work. Overnight guests can choose from room types that include singles and doubles. Some rooms share bathrooms and others are en-suite, so pick the arrangement you want when you reserve. You don't need to stay the night to come for the entertainment in the bar.

The pub faces the bus interchange and Ryde Esplanade station. Hovertravel is across the road, and the passenger ferry is along the pier, which makes this an easy place to meet friends arriving by different routes. Ryde Beach is nearby if you want time by the water before or after. When you arrange to meet, give the Esplanade address: this is a different business from the Veteran Craft Lounge on the High Street.
