The afternoon Halloween Pottery session puts two hours of clay work into Isle of Wight Pottery on Monday 19 October. Beginners, adults and children are all welcome. You can spend time on the pottery wheel, painting, or making spooky clay creations, so there’s another way in if the wheel feels daunting at first.
The class runs from 2pm to 4pm and costs £27.50 per person. Glazing and firing are included, so you’re paying for the studio work that follows as well as the two hours at the bench. A separate class begins at 10am that morning, so select the 2pm slot in the Holiday Time Clay Club calendar. Choose carefully. Ask the studio how and when finished pieces can be collected. Fired pottery won’t be ready to carry home at 4pm.
The School Green Road studio gives west Wight families an indoor half-term plan once lunch is out of the way. Adults can attend too, and no experience is required. The slot is separate. If you’re bringing a child, allow time to arrive, settle and choose an activity before the session begins. Among the Island’s family craft events, this one ends with a finished object, even if the kiln means waiting before it comes home.
