Hammock Time at Haylands Farm is a slow afternoon in the woods: one hour in a wood-fired sauna with Spirit Sauna's Aufguss ritual and optional cold plunge, then an hour in your own hammock to rest, journal or simply switch off. The two groups swap halfway through, before everyone meets at the campfire for hot and cold drinks, marshmallows and something sweet.
It is child-free, which matters if you are a parent who rarely gets a guilt-free window for yourself. Pillow and blanket are provided with the hammock, but the organiser suggests extra layers, towels, flip flops and a water bottle for the sauna. A short waiver is required on arrival. Sessions may be cancelled if fewer than five people are booked, with rescheduling offered, so booking ahead is sensible rather than assuming it will run.
Salters Road is a practical Ryde base: woodland without a long drive into the middle of nowhere. If you like restorative outdoor sessions, see community events on the Isle of Wight for similar wellbeing circles and forest gatherings through the summer.
