Harvest Gong & Sound Bath

Past event

This page shows the historical details for Sunday 13 September 2026. If this event returns in 2027, the new details are not published yet.

A one-hour gong and sound-bath session in the Quay Arts Theatre, timed around the approach of the autumn harvest season.

Presented by Echo Me Therapy

Echo Me Therapy brings a Harvest Gong & Sound Bath into the theatre at Quay Arts. The hour is structured around sustained sound rather than performance in the usual theatrical sense, using the resonance of gongs to create a space for rest and close listening. Holding it in the theatre gives the session a contained acoustic environment, separate from the galleries and daytime movement through the arts centre.

The sound bath runs from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday 13 September. Advance booking is required through the organiser’s event page, where the current price and remaining spaces can be checked. Ask what is supplied before travelling; participants may need to bring a mat, blanket, cushion or water. Anyone who cannot lie on the floor should confirm whether seated participation is possible. Arrive early enough to settle quietly before the doors close.

This sits within the Island’s broader community programme, but its atmosphere will be deliberately still and inward-looking. Wear warm, comfortable layers because body temperature can drop while resting. A sound bath is a wellbeing activity, not a substitute for medical care, and people with relevant health concerns should take appropriate advice. Quay Arts can answer building-access questions, while Echo Me Therapy is the correct contact for suitability and session content.
