Tots Play Isle of Wight runs an Intergenerational Session at Springfield Nursing Home in Shanklin on Monday 16 November. Sandra leads a 45-minute session for babies from eight weeks to children aged four, with some of the home’s residents joining in. Numbers are small, so it is a relaxed shared activity for you and your tot. Tots Play are back at Springfield for these sessions, and there are two before Christmas.
The session has singing and musical instruments, stretching with props, parachute play and bubble popping. Follow along with your child while the residents join in; your little one doesn’t have to perform. Numbers are limited because of the space and to avoid overwhelming the residents or the children, so reserve a place before you travel. Sandra and the Springfield team are expecting a relaxed session for tots and residents alike.
This session runs from 2.30pm to 3.15pm and costs £3 to book. Springfield is at 26 Arthurs Hill, Shanklin, PO37 6EX. It is a working care home, so places are booked in advance.
