Christmas Drive-In Cinema: Love Actually

Love Actually closes Robin Hill’s Christmas drive-in weekend with a 15-rated romantic comedy screening, raising money for Wessex Cancer Support through car-space donations.

Christmas Drive-In Cinema: Love Actually brings an evening of Christmas romance to Robin Hill on Sunday 29 November at 7pm. Watch from your own car, with the film on a giant LED screen and the soundtrack through the radio. The screening has a 15 certificate, so everyone attending must be aged 15 or over. Make it a date with a partner or a shared evening with a friend who knows the film’s tangled collection of stories.

Set around Christmas in London, the romantic comedy follows a group of people whose relationships cross and connect as the holiday approaches. The ensemble cast includes Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Bill Nighy, moving between new love, family ties and difficult choices. Wessex Cancer Support presents the screening as part of its festive fundraiser. The suggested donation is £25 per car for this film, with funds helping the charity support local people affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Gates open at 6.15pm, leaving 45 minutes to arrive and tune the radio before the 7pm start. Reserve your car space ahead of the evening and allow time for any hot snacks or drinks you choose on site. The organiser has not published a finish time for this screening, so check before arranging a lift or another appointment afterwards. For an arts and film evening, bring suitable company and settle in, with a final check for weather or licensing changes before you leave home.
