Christmas Drive-In Cinema: White Christmas

Watch White Christmas on Robin Hill’s giant drive-in screen, with songs, romance and a suggested car-space donation supporting Wessex Cancer Support.

Christmas Drive-In Cinema: White Christmas brings a classic musical evening to Robin Hill on Saturday 28 November at 7pm. Take your own company, settle into the car and watch the giant LED screen while the soundtrack plays through the radio. For anyone who enjoys the songs and costumes of an older screen musical, this is a chance to give the film a place in the diary and watch it with someone who loves it too.

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye play a performing double act who meet two singing sisters and find themselves at a Vermont inn run by their former commanding officer. Romance, rehearsals and the effort to help the inn shape the story, with music at its centre. The organiser advertises the film with a U certificate. The screening raises money for Wessex Cancer Support, with a suggested donation of £25 per car for this film helping the charity’s work with local people affected by cancer.

Gates open at 6.15pm, giving you 45 minutes to arrive and prepare the radio before the 7pm start. Hot snacks and drinks are available on site, and advance booking secures your car space. Choose this film and arts outing for the pleasure of a shared musical evening, whether you are returning to a favourite or seeing it for the first time. Weather and film licensing can affect the programme, so check the screening arrangements before setting off for the park.
