The Anywhens at Ventnor Park

Folk duo The Anywhens play original songs and traditional favourites at Ventnor Park on Sunday afternoon.

Presented by Ventnor Tee in the Park Putting Green

The Anywhens bring a warm folk set to Ventnor Park on Sunday 21 June, 2pm to 4pm at the bandstand. Glen on guitar and songwriting duties and Sue on ukulele, drum and vocals weave original songs with traditional favourites, and they are occasionally joined by storyteller Monty for a music-and-tales blend that suits the park setting.

Expect harmonies, storytelling and a range from heartfelt ballads to foot-tapping numbers rather than a single mood all afternoon. Ventnor Park's sheltered position and stream-side paths give you somewhere to stroll before or after the set, and Tea in the Park is nearby if you want a cuppa without leaving the green. Free entry keeps it family-friendly in the broad sense, though the music will land best with adults who like acoustic folk and unhurried Sundays.

If you caught The Tuesdayz on Saturday, this is the gentler Sunday follow-up in the same bandstand spot. More live music on the Isle of Wight and free community afternoons are listed through the summer.
