Back in the Saddle Club

Two one-hour adult riding sessions at Fairfields Farm for people returning to horses after time away.

Presented by Fairfields Farm Riding School & Livery

Back in the Saddle Club is aimed at adults who have ridden before but need a supportive route back after a break. The one-hour sessions at Fairfields Farm Riding School offer more structure than booking an ordinary hack and acknowledge that confidence, balance and habits can change over time. The school can match participants with suitable horses and rebuild the practical routine around mounting, position and communication.

The club meets from 11am to noon on Thursdays 17 and 24 September. Advance booking is required, and the public listing does not state a price, so ask Fairfields whether the dates are paid separately and whether equipment hire is included. Riders may need to complete or update a registration form with their experience, height, weight and health information. Confirm the required hat, footwear and clothing before arriving at the yard.

This riding and fitness session is for returning adults rather than complete beginners or children. Be honest about the date and level of your last riding, as that helps the instructor choose a safe starting point. Outdoor arenas and rural access mean weather can change the plan, so watch for messages from the school on the morning. Allow time to park, find the meeting area and prepare without cutting into the mounted hour.
