Singing in the Woods brings Lizzie Boynton and Ellen from Singing Mamas to Haylands Farm for a summer solstice circle on Wednesday evening. Songs are taught by ear in the simplest way: a line sung, the group sings it back. No choir experience needed, and the listing is clear that you are welcome whether you think you cannot sing or love to belt it out.
You meet in the Haylands Farm car park ten minutes before 7pm, then gather around the fire for cacao, marshmallows and gentle connection beneath the trees. Herbal tea or hot chocolate is provided. This is an adult-only, women-only circle (not just mums), so leave the children at home and treat it as a rare midweek reset. Wear layers; woodland evenings cool down fast even in June, and the solstice light fades quicker than you expect once the singing settles.
Tickets are £18 through Forever Wild at Heart. Spaces are limited and non-refundable unless the organiser cancels. For more nurturing outdoor gatherings, browse community events on the Isle of Wight or see what else is on at Haylands through the summer.
