Dash and Splash returns to Shanklin seafront with a 5K low-tide run, finish-line sea dip and tickets listed at £15.

Presented by Aspire Ryde

Dash and Splash returns to Shanklin Clock Tower Beach for a summer 5K that finishes with a sea dip rather than a medal-only moment. The route is described as a low-tide run, so the beach setting is part of the event rather than scenery on the side. It is a Sunday morning plan for people who like their fitness with a bit of salt water and a clear cause behind it.

The event is a good fit for runners who want something friendlier than a road race but more purposeful than a casual jog along the esplanade. Shanklin gives it a natural start-and-finish atmosphere: promenade, sand, spectators and somewhere to recover afterwards. Because the run depends on low tide, keep an eye on organiser updates, arrive in time for check-in and bring dry layers for after the splash.

Tickets are listed at £15, with the event supporting Wessex Cancer Support on the Isle of Wight. It belongs with sport events on the Isle of Wight, but the seafront setting makes it social too, especially for teams, families watching from the beach and anyone looking for a reason to get moving before the day gets busy. The 9am start leaves the rest of Sunday open for a proper Shanklin morning.
